How to Read Deleted Text Messages
In today’s world the mobile phone (cell phone) is an important personal device that millions of people rely on every day. We use our mobile phone to make important calls, text friends and even play games. Text messages are a similar to email where you use the keypad on the mobile phone in order to compose messages that are then sent instantly to the recipient.
There are numerous reasons why someone would want to read a deleted text message. For example, maybe someone had sent you directions or your local school had sent you and important reminder for an upcoming event, the list goes on.
So how do we recover a text message that we deleted by mistake? The only way to get a text message back from deletion is ensure that the mobile phone has a SIM card installed. The SIM card is basically an electronic memory card that stores mobile phone data.
STEP 1
Check to see if your mobile phone (cell phone) has a SIM card installed by looking at the back of the phone. The SIM card is usually placed under the phone’s battery.
STEP 2
You will need to buy a device in order to recover the lost data (text message). This device is called a SIM card reader and can be bought for about $120.
STEP 3
Your purchased SIM Card reader will come with computer installation software. Insert the CD into your PC and follow the program installation prompts. Do not remove the CD until the software has installed, you may need to restart the computer after installation.
STEP 4
Take out the SIM card from your mobile phone and place inside the SIM reader. Many of these readers look like USB flash drives.
STEP 5
Connect the SIM card reader into a spare USB socket on your computer or laptop. Make sure the SIM card is still placed inside the reader.
STEP 6
Run either the software program from the desktop icon or search to where you installed the SIM reader software and fire up the software. Refer to the manual in order to select the “restore deleted text message” option. Many good card readers will allow you to save your recovered messages to disk, another SIM card or print out.
STEP 7
Finally, unplug the SIM card reader from the USB port once you are happy that you have recovered all the data you need – take out the mobile phone SIM card from the reader and return the SIM card back into the mobile phone.
Please note that this guide will not work with iPhones or other Smart phones that do not contain SIM cards. Please get in touch with your mobile manufacturer for further advice on Smartphone data retrieval.
